PM Career OS
PM Career OS is a career orientation system for project and program managers. It starts with an honest read of where you actually are, turns that into a development path, and gives you a way to prove what you can do. The community is where that work happens every week.
Free to join. The assessment that becomes the starting point is in build, and you can follow its progress on the roadmap.
Built by Markus Kopko. PgMP, PMP, PMI-CPMAI. Member of the PMI AI Standards core development team and lead author of the program management chapter of the PMI Standard for AI.
One access level. Every member gets exactly the same, whatever they pay. The level sets your price and your standing, never what you can open.
Full access to the PMP, PgMP and CPMAI exam simulators is included. Every simulator and practice tool we add after you join lands in your membership automatically, at no extra cost, for as long as you stay. Non-members buy each simulator separately. Members do not. Live coaching cohorts are the one exception. They are priced separately and we say so every time they come up.
You do not have to pay to start. The assessment, your result, Start Here, the current case of the week and a preview module of the path are free. What membership costs and why there are only 1000 places
Four differences. Each one is a design decision, not a feature.
You studied for months. You passed. You added the letters to your name. For a few weeks it felt like the hard part was behind you. Then you joined a real project and the gap opened up.
The traditional path stalls at Senior PM for a large share of practitioners. Ten years of solid delivery and a PMP, and the title has not moved since year five. More certifications in the same direction do not fix this. They add depth to a skill the market already assumes you have.
Your certification teaches you to deliver on time and on budget. It does not teach you what to do when a model drifts in production. When a stakeholder asks why the system made that decision and your status report has no field for the answer. When data quality becomes the blocker and no template you own has a work package for it. Traditional PM training hits a wall the moment a project becomes an AI project. Not because the PM is weak, but because the framework was written for deterministic work.
The first break is the one everyone talks about. The second one is where the room on the ladder actually is.
Most platforms sell you material. PM Career OS answers the three questions that come before any material is useful.
01
An assessment, not a quiz. 18 questions in three formats: knowledge, honest self-rating, and situational judgment. It scores five competence dimensions and returns your career level plus your strongest and weakest dimension. Every question maps to a specific competence element in PMI PMCDF, IPMA ICB4 or the APM Competence Framework. The result is shareable and you can retake it later to see what moved.
The assessment result page goes here once it is live.
02
Your result becomes a direction, not a reading list. The path takes your career level and your dimension profile and turns them into concrete next steps: what to build, what to practise, and which credential is actually worth your time at your stage. You work through it inside the community, with people at the same point.
03
A credential proves you know the framework. It cannot prove you can run a room. The proof of skill loop closes that gap. You verify an existing credential, unlock a practice simulation, submit your work, and get a rubric-based evaluation. What you earn is competence proof, visible on your profile. We do not issue certifications. We evidence skill.
AI splits this profession into two groups. The split is not between people who use AI and people who do not. It is between people who can govern it and people who can only operate it. PM Career OS runs two pillars across every career level.
Markus Kopko is a member of the PMI AI Standards core development team and lead author of the program management chapter of the PMI Standard for AI, published in June 2026. That work informs the material here. It does not mean PMI endorses PM Career OS, and we never claim it does.
Two rituals carry the community. Both run weekly. Both are open to every member at every price level.
Cases come from members. You bring the situation, we anonymise it, and the room works it. If a week has to move, it moves. Consistency beats frequency.
The recommendations here are picked on merit, not on commission. Two tiers: verified means we know the provider and the material holds up, listed means it exists and we say what it is. Some links earn a commission and every one of those is marked as advertising directly at the link, never buried in a legal page. Where a recommendation would compete with our own practice tools, we say so in the same sentence. You should be able to trust a recommendation here more than one you find anywhere else, and that only works if the rule is visible.
Paying membership is capped at 1000 places, split into ten price levels of 100. New members join at the highest open level, and from then on your price only falls, never rises. Stay long enough and you reach Level 0, which is free for life.
Level 1 is open at 4.99 EUR per month. It is the lowest entry price this membership will ever have, and the first 100 members are the founding cohort.
You are mid-career and stuck at Senior PM, with the delivery judgment already in place and no obvious next move. You are moving into PM from an adjacent role and need a path that is not the crowded one. You are early in your career and want the foundation built properly rather than fast. In all three cases you are willing to post your reasoning in public and have it challenged.
You want a question bank and a pass guarantee. You want to be told which certification to buy next without examining what you are actually missing. You want a job board. You want to read and never post. The rituals here only work if people argue in the open.
This community is being built while people are already using it. Some of what you read here runs today and some is next. We publish which is which, and we update it as things ship.

He runs this on his own, with an AI stack doing the work a team would otherwise do. That is a constraint and it shapes the product: two rituals done reliably instead of six done occasionally, recommendations instead of a course catalogue, and a membership capped at a size one person can actually serve.
The assessment that normally starts this is still being built. Until it opens, the way in is the community itself. Come in, read the case that is running this week, and decide from there whether the room is worth your time.
Free to join. Level 1 membership is 4.99 EUR per month and you can cancel any time.
